Your Company's Computer Guy

won't make house calls unless you pay him. The sorry sucker.

So being poor and stubborn, we're attempting to fix our very sick computer ourselves. (note, this is quite possibly a Very Bad Idea.) I can only blog from work right now *looking around nervously*. So, I'm gonna have to take a break for a few days until the old girl is up and running again, if she can be revived at all.

A quick and easy solution to this problem (and one I'm heavily encouraging): Buy me a new computer! This guarantees you non-stop, hip-hop, cutting-edge my blog action, 24/7. Beck and call, baby. I'll blog till the break of dawn, I'll blog like it's 1999. You can't stop this blog machine because I'm crazzzzy cool.

Okay, okay, I'm going. You're not even going to miss me, are you?

Not that I wanna be mean, ...but I need a new computer too as I broke my old "dinosaur" laptop. Now I'm using my parents' computer and I blog, of course, from work as well. That means: "Sorry fella! I'm not buyin' a comp for ya."

Jano, no offense, but WonderGirl might be on to something. If we all just pitch in for each other, even just a little, then we can really help each other. I mean, I don't need a new computer but my husband was out of work for 10 months. Though he just got a job recently, we are really hurting financially. However, I would be willing to give a little bit toward helping Wondergirl get a new computer. If several others do the same, that would bring her closer to that goal. And biblically speaking, those of us who give, will be blessed in turn. WonderGirl, do you have a place on your blog where we can click and send money, using Paypal or something?

Some joker like that "ZZ news portal" probaly attached some spyware to you. That brought me and several of my friends down last summer, that crap is worse than a virus!

"f-disk" to the rescue! Thank God my husband is a computer genious.

How old is your computer? We buy a new computer every year and a half, and are amazed by how much faster and better they are every time. He gets the new one for all the super programs and I get the old one for my stuff and Internet. He rarely fixes anyone's computer that's more than 3 years old, but it's hard to explain to people that that's a dinosaur and they need to invest in a new one!

Also about the scanner, I've never even heard of buying reconditioned. "Used" yeah, can be OK, depending on who had it and if it's not more than like, 2 years old and a good price. But the computer industry moves so fast right now, it's worth buying new. I always gripe about the price till I get the thing (whatever it is) home and see how MUCH BETTER it was than my old one and am SOOO HAPPY!

Shannon, that's so nice of you- but I was just joking around. I appreciate your generosity though! :) What great friends I have!

We're still working out the kinks, but we're close to having it up and running again. It's quite a few years old, at least five, so this may be the last go round.

I expect by this weekend it will be resurrected once again, to do my evil bidding. (sorry, we just watched van helsing, so I'm a bit macabre today!)

Sorry- I didn't wanna be mean. That was supposed to be a "joke" as you know I'm in Central Europe = not a big help.
