Looking For A Six Fingered Man
I'd say my nesting instinct has hit early, or I've developed OCD. Either way, I've been cleaning like a madman. But cleaning is kind of boring, so I like to spice it up a little. Today, I was Inigo Montoya. Know who I'm talking about? From The Princess Bride? I pointed the toilet scrubber at my foe with great flourish and said in a deadly calm, Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father... Prepare to DIE!
You know you're saying it in your head right now. You're even rolling your r's, aren't you? Go ahead, say it out loud. It's really fun.
Anyway, I attacked the dirty and unorganized today with great, Spanish, gusto. I got the linen closet properly submissive, the master bathroom resigned to it's fate, and the laundry well and truly tamed. I am feeling downright productive, amigos! All it takes is a little foreign accent to get the job done right. (And no one around to laugh at you when you are acting like a complete idiot.)
Okay, that's all for now. I need to go before I make one too many Princess Bride references and drive you all away. More foolishness tomorrow.

I'd say its neither nesting nor OCD, just finally settling in after a huge move. I'm sure with 3 kids, you probably didn't get to put everything in order exactly like you wanted it when you first got there. A fresh start, new town, new home, new job, new baby on the way, new school year....yep, i'd say you are just getting organized. Wish I were there to help you, sounds like my kind of party!! Love ya!

I keep waiting for my nesting instinct to kick in- with 13 weeks left, I am worried I don't have one! BUT, since you have such a great head start, you can always bring that cleaning craze over to my crib (ah, the wit). You too, Aunt Dee!

my nest is empty now, so why do I have so much STUFF piling up everywhere!? And why can't I ever, ever get in a cleaning mood? I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but my idea of cleaning up these days is to hide everything in the closet, but then I need to padlock the closet door to keep it from busting open. I can promise you, you'd better back up a few steps when you do open that door, something WILL jump out, fall out, or tumble out of there!

Ahhhh... the joy of cleaning...
I did all that a couple of weeks ago to impress our guests at the "first anniversary" "cook-out" and then promptly messed it all up again... sigh...
But... when we got home from a week in Ocean City... (first anniverary - second honeymoon)... my precious niece had cleaned it up again...
It is soooooooooooooo wonderful to come home to a clean and sparkling house after time away...
