Definition Addiction
Oh, you will hate me for introducing you to this... or maybe not, since it helps feed the hungry! (Except your hungry children, who are waiting for lunch while you play word games--- you bad mama.)

Oh my WORD!!Don't know whether to hate you or love you for that one! At least my little chitlins are sleeping right now. It's only my laundry that is suffering.

Dolly, was your pun intentional? I do hope so. It was quite clever!

You know me. I'm just a punny gal. ;-)

Yes, that's a time waster...but a vocabulary builder, and I'm donating food, right?
Did you know that in Latvian, the word for dictionary is "word-collection"? It's got the same suffix (-nica) that you see in hospital ("sickperson-collection") and grocery store ("food-collection"). I love that. And I love being a walking dictionary...a word-collection.

Thanks a lot...a half hour later. Sheesh! Really, though, cool site!

Hate to say this, but freerice.com is not a non-profit (note the "dot com" ending instead of "dot org.") Do some searching and find out that it's a *for*-profit that does not donate all it's funds to charity.

I read their FAQ page (http://www.freerice.com/faq.html) and it seems pretty straightforward to me. I play lots of online games that don't donate anything to charity at all, so I think even a little bit is better than nothing, don't you?

I think it's great fun and my kids do too (they like to play with me...good homeschoolin'). Thanks for dumping that link.
