The Coupon Train
(Okay, I've officially met my corny quota for the day.)
So here's the deal. You know how I've been doing the Grocery Game. Part of the fun is the coupons. Finding them, clipping them, and of course, using them! And since I have some obsessive tendencies, I have of course, gone a bit overboard. I have decided to start a coupon train. This is how it works. We'll start with 50 coupons. I put them in an envelope, and mail them to you. You take out the ones you want, add your own coupons that you don't want, and mail it to the next person on the list. It generally works best with about 50 coupons moving along, and no more than ten people riding each train. We can start multiples if there are lots of people interested.
So whatcha say? Anybody interested? You don't have to be playing the Grocery Game to get in on this.
Come on, free coupons- and a letter addressed to you in the mailbox that's NOT requesting money? You can't beat that. Leave a comment if you're interested, and I'll get us organized.
And, yes.
We must all wear conductor's hats.
Sorry, just the rules.

Hey, girl. I'll give a go once around the track. My one suggestions if I may be so bold. Make little list of do's and don'ts. Like: do not include coupons for any local only stores - that would not be fair to the others in the group. And checking the expiry dates before putting them in (set a limit of maybe at least two weeks out, you know, in case the mail is slow).

Okay, girls, the train is almost full! I think I can take two more people. I'll give it till later today, and then I'll close up. I'll be sending out an email this afternoon with the info, and I'll mail it out in the morning.
SL, there will be an insert in the envelope with the rules and the list, so it should be fairly easy to follow. Thanks for the input!

Hey, that's no fair! I was out of town. You gotta let me in on this. You know I won't sleep well at night if you don't. :)

Hi Wondergirl. We have never met, but I'm Kingpen's cousin in Fort Worth, Texas and my mom told me about your blog. It's really great - very funny sometimes, very touching sometimes and very relatable to me (as a 30ish stay-at-home mom of two)! I love coupons and would love to do the "coupon train" if you still have any room on board. If you don't, I understand since it has been so long since your posting. I wanted to at least tell you how much I enjoy your blog and that your kids are adorable. We enjoy getting pictures of all the grandkids a few times a year from your in-laws. Please tell Kingpen "hi" for me - it's been years since I've seen him.

I guess you will have to start another train or add to this train. I love coupons too.
