Glad I'm the Teach
Because I would have to get ugly with a public school teacher who tried this with my child. Oh, it makes me so mad. Read the article, watch the video, and if you want to lodge a complaint (along with me, 'cause this is atrocious and she deserves to be fired), here's the contact information for the NC Ashville School Buncombe County Superintendent's office:
Buncombe County Schools
175 Bingham Road
Asheville, NC 28806
Connie Jackson (Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and the Board):

It's not even about Obama or McCain, or whoever. It's about this woman, abusing her authority and bullying an innocent child, on OUR tax dollars.

There was a board meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. I hope this was brought up.

Thanks for that. I see that Michelle Malkin also has the new, updated information on her site. I'll correct mine as well.

The money quote had to be this: "So that means that your daddy could stay in the military for another hundred years!"

I couldn't let go of this. I've been following it every day since you brought it to my attention. Here's an update:
I'm glad the school board is responding, but I'd still like to know more. I really want to be reassured that this person will never be in any classroom anywhere, anymore. I also want her to apologize to those children and their parents publicly.

From WonderGirl: Unfortunately, I don't think we'll hear anymore about it! I don't know what "personnel laws" the Superintendent is citing, but I doubt we'll know the ultimate outcome. I am with you, though, I would be horrified to learn that this person was teaching my child. The girl's parents weren't too bent out of shape though, which just goes to show that the public school system has been thoroughly indoctrinated with a world view. But that's nothing new, eh? It's just sad that you can't even call "wrong" wrong anymore, and that teachers are doing more than TEACHING. They're recruiting.
